Samuel Colt came to study the Royal Armouries’ collection at the Tower of London in 1851, and the pieces he saw and wrote about are all illustrated in this booklet. Since then the Museum has acquired an extensive collection of Colt’s own firearms. This booklet also illustrates some of the most interesting colt firearms in the Royal Armouries’ collection as well as important items from other collections.
