"Hi Jen,

Thank you for your question. There’s no requirement for orange muzzles in the UK, and no legal restriction on realistic imitation firearms of a pre-1870 design. Whilst anything resembling a firearm might be deemed a realistic imitation firearm by police if carried in public without good reason, we can’t see why a convention or other event wouldn’t qualify as good reason. As this should be taking place on private property for one thing, and participants will have a) costumes and b) tickets for the event, demonstrating said good reason.

If you did still want to have an orange muzzle then you could paint the muzzle or put an orange bung in the muzzle. However this is not something that we will be able to do for you.

I hope that this helps, if you have any further questions please let me know.

Regards,

Kirsty

"Hi, I was just wondering if it's possible the put orange tips in for use in public? I was hoping to use one in a cosplay event, but we can't take anything which has legal restrictions on it's carriage.

Thank you!"
