Many volumes were published to commemorate the Eglington Tournament. The most magnificent was a collection of prints published by fine art dealers, Colnaghi and Puckle, from original illustrations by James Henry Nixon.

Nixon captured the spirit of the event in a series of 21 plates. there were 3 different printing, one with black and white illustrations, one with tinted illustrations and one with full colour illustrations. It is the latter of these which is the subject of this facsimile reprint.
