This DVD tells the story of famous charge of the Light Brigade and the heroic courage of the ordinary soldiers during the horrors of the Crimean War. Balaclava was one of the most famous battles in military history with leaders like Raglan, Lucan and Cardigan becoming bywords for incompetence and poor leadership.
The loss of the Light Brigade was such a traumatic event that the allies were incapable of further action that day. Of the 666 men known to have ridden in the charge 271 became casualties. A terrible loss of life for no gain whatsoever.
