A faithful reproduction a 15th Century English bronze and enamel brooch in the form of a swan.
The bronze original was found in Tattershall High Street. It is based on a design taken from a horse harness. The swan was a badge of Lancastrian supporters. Thought to be from the late 15th Century it may have belonged to a retainer of Margaret Beaufort, the mother of Henry VII, who held Tattershall Castle from 1487 to 1509. Now on show at The City Museum Lincoln.
